Last Spring Break in Cabo San Lucas...

It was a regular morning in Cabo, the staff was on the way to make breakfast rounds, when in walks Bo, stumbling through the door - he had obviously enjoyed his night off. First thing he said as he came through the door, “Cheryl, I had the best night last night … I watched the sunrise with a seagull!” Now, don’t get me wrong, Bo’s a great guy, but after having shared an apartment with him for over a month I had learned to take everything he said with a grain of salt. Bo could tell that I wasn’t taking him seriously, so he pulls out his camera and shows me how the morning unfolded. Taking a leisurely stroll down the beach he walked by a seagull who strangely didn’t back away. Deciding to test his boundaries, he moved closer and closer to the seagull.

The seagull seemed receptive of his company. Once he knew that his new friend was completely comfortable with him, he began to vent. Living in an apartment with three girls, it had been ages since Bo had another guy to discuss "guy things." Bo talked to the seagull for hours, as early morning beach joggers shot him strange looks. When he finally came back to reality, he had a newfound appreciation of life and Cabo.

Cabo San Lucas goes crazy at foam parties during Spring Break

Anyone else have a great time in Cabo San Lucas during Spring Break 2006? At one of the wildest foam parties ever, the Program Director was unwillingly taken hostage and carried into the foam by one of the students! After passing the e-cell and camera to a friend, she let loose and had a great time taking full advantage of the foam party, laughing with the students and other staff. Looks like they really know how to have a good time down there! Cabo is going to be wild for Spring Break 2007! I can’t wait!

Greeks party StudentCity style on Spring Break in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta seems to be a very popular hot spot for students in the Mid-Atlantic, especially those in Greek Life. The Kappa Delta's and Chi Omega's from Penn State, the Pike's, AEPi's, Theta's, and Beta's from Maryland, and the KA’s from JMU were dancing up a storm at the #1 event of the week- “The Black and White New Years Eve Ball” at Christine Club. With black and white balloons, noise makers, high-tech light shows, and young party go’ers dressed to the nines in their black and white fashion, it looked like a Hollywood premiere event. Nobody will ever forget the New Years Eve countdown at midnight and getting lost on the dance floor in the cool white fog. You have to see it to believe it!

DJ AM spins at a wild Spring Break party in Acapulco

In the two months I spent on spring break in Cancun 2005, I saw some of the hottest DJ’s around. From DJ Clue to Who Kidd, and Green Lantern, these guys really rocked the house. I even saw one of the old school legends, the Beastie Boys’ Mix Master Mike. He really blew me away; I thought he was the best I would ever see. Boy was I wrong! Fast forward to last night, Spring Break 2006, at El Alebrije in Acapulco during one of Maxim Magazine’s Maxim Break parties. The minute I saw Club Pure Las Vegas’ (http://www.purethenightclub.com/) resident DJ AM warming up during the sound check, I knew it was going to be an unbelievable night. This guy was scratching records like it was his job! AM dropped it all; house music, hip hop, old school rock, even eighties. Regardless of what he played, 5000 people were dancing to the beat. I think I even saw the hair on the back of some people’s neck stand up when he dropped Pour Some Sugar on Me! Maxim didn’t let the VIP area down either! They foot the bill for 50 bottles that StudentCity reps took full advantage of. What a night! It was, by far, the biggest and best party I have ever attended.
