Why I couldn't stop thinking about Spring Break during Thanksgiving Break

Of course the turkey and all the fixins, the amazing stuffing, mac and cheese casserole, steaming mashed potatoes mixed with amazing tasty gravy that was oh-so ready to fill my taste buds so as if it were that of a feast of kings. Delicious! Of course there’s no surprise with the joy of catching up with my extended family members that I haven't seen since the last holiday season, especially my little cousins who are an entire year older. There are plenty of things to keep me occupied during my Thanksgiving break from school and work, so what was the problem?

Why was I in a constant daze, and tired and distracted the way you feel when unaccomplished or guilty for wasting something? It was because I just couldn't stop thinking about Spring Break 2009.

In a perfect world, I wouldn't have to flea to Spring Break destinations with Student City, because in a perfect world I would live Cancun or Jamaica. I would own the Bahamas Party Cruise and would live a life of leisure without work or vacation. Obviously my life would be a vacation. But the world is not perfect, nor am I, Paris Hilton or Hugh Hefner although he is pretty close to having the perfect life for a man. Anyway, I have to rely on my vacation time to flea to spring break destinations and unfortunately, here I was, a full week off from school and I'm sitting with my now even brattier little cousins, my obnoxiously loud aunts and staring at a turkey that I'm really not going to eat that much of. There is something wrong here, I should be on a boat cruise drinking Jaegar-bombs, vodka and cokes and enjoying the beautiful scenery, both landscape and gorgeous half-naked women. I should be down on the beach with my buddies under the sun enjoying a game of horseshoes with my new hair cut and awesome tan. Just kidding there, I'd be playing football, FULL CONTACT! To conclude, I had an okay Turkey break, food was great, spent some time with the fam, and did my thing. However, I have to admit how much I was thinking about being on the beach during my time off. Oh well, spring break will come soon enough!

Can't wait until Spring Break 2009
