With its white sand beaches, and hotels lining the costera, Acapulco can appear to be just like any other spring break destination. By the time you’ve unpacked, and sat down in a beach chair to enjoy a Corona, you will have realized that Acapulco spring break is so much more.
Culturally, the people of Acapulco are some of the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever met. Besides your occasional pushy street vendor, the people that live in Acapulco just want to welcome you to their town. Taxi cab rides have [bazaarly] become one of my favorite things in Mexico. Between my broken Spanish, and their broken English, the rides are usually just both of us laughing talking about the spring.
Acapulco has a little something for everyone. For the crazy spring breaker, the student that believes that 8 hours of sleep a night is a ridiculous suggestion, StudentCity definitely can keep them busy. Playa Suites, which is Student City’s Spring Break Headquarters, is going non-stop for the entire spring break season. Last week, DJ Scribble dj’d all day while spring breakers splashed through the newly designed pool, and danced on the pool deck. After dancing all day, the students can walk down to the beach to relax in the Corona Lounge. Inside the lounge, Student City’s talent [including Real World Talent, Maxim Models, etc.] sip beers with the student while fighting over who gets the last hammock.
At night, the students congregate together to have dinner at one of the several ocean view restaurants overlooking Acapulco bay. After that, they head out to the club. From that point, it is an all night long event. Dancing goes for hours, and the students definitely prove there endurance.
While most students are on the “party all day, party all night” schedule, Acapulco offers several other options for the people that just want to sit back and relax. Kayaking, Jet Skiing, viewing the world famous cliff divers…the excursions are endless.
Whether you’re idea of spring break is, seeing how little hours of sleep you can function on, or how many memories you can create…Acapulco spring break will fulfill your every desire.

Spring Break in Negril, Jamaica ’09 with StudentCity.com
This year StudentCity.com has provided a Spring Break that has been unreal! The parties are bigger and better than ever! Clubbing and watching live reggae bands, Saturday and Monday nights at The Jungle, the hottest night club in Jamaica, has turned out to be unforgettable! Mardigras Tuesdays and Foam Party Fridays at Margaritaville have been the hottest nights on the beach… imagine 1000+ partying on the white sands to the tropical vibes and moonlit ocean all night long! Last week the gorgeous girls from “Rehab” at the Hard Rock in Vegas showed up to jump start each nightly event by pre-gaming up at Rick’s during the cliff diving shows, hosting contests, providing free giveaways and prizes! The Sunset Cruise is the most memorable time of the week as the party goes nautical on a private 100 person catamaran which takes you first snorkeling through the warm seas and caribbean reefs where you’ll see schools of translucent angel fish that light up the sea, then you sail up the cliffs with an open bar provided on the catamaran where the adventurous can cliff jump from 10-55 feet! You’ll catch a scenic sunset on the way back and probably meet a few dolphins swimming up to the boat and playing in its wake! Negril has everything for those who don’t want the cramped, sweaty, 5000+ meathead parties with no place to chill with your friends, but want a more relaxed atmosphere and laid back attitude. All the fun and none of the hassle!Get your friends together and book your trip to Negril, Jamaica with StudentCity.com now for your ultimate Spring Break experience!

My experience as Student City's resident DJ in Panama City Beach

Yo - dj raNdy here (http://www.deejayrandy.com/)
Well what can i say? First and foremost it has been an honor to be chosen as the Student City resident DJ for the past week. Let me tell you something about the STAFF - these people work their a**es off. Personally, I always thought, wow these people get paid to party! What an easy job! I have a new found respect for Student City and what these people do. They truly do provide the best possible experience. It is a lot of very long days and nights. Sleep is VALUABLE!
Anyway, enough about them, lets talk about ME! Spinnin and Mixing music has always been a passion of mine - I love to throw it all out on the table and just be consumed with a great mix and to see people also feel it the same way I do is truly a surreal experience. I dj'd a pool party at Paradise Palms yesterday and as I was setting up I looked over my right shoulder and about 20 feet below me were the white sands of Panama City Beach, the amazing Gulf of Mexico stretching as far as you could see off into the distance, people layin out, volleyball, helicopters flying over, blue sky, etc. - I honestly had to chuckle to myself and quietly say "am i really doing this?" - this just didn't seem to be happening... so after setting up, i powered up the equipment - dropped the first track and we were off - a 2 hour pool party turned into a 3 hour pool party - these spring breakers were TRULY lovin life and it seemed like this is what they came here for. It was INCREDIBLE!
After taking a short break... Then it was off to the StudentCity Welcome Party at HammerHead Fred's. 2 more hours of dropping beats, seeing sick dance moves consume the floor as all the spring breakers enjoyed the free food, free drink and free Rockstar galore! Seriously... someone pinch me as the sensory overload of spring break is insane!!
This is something that will be with me forever and when I spin I want the "spring breakers" to feel the same way I do - this truly is a great experience. I have Student City to thank for giving me this opportunity. Do NOT hesitate to book your trip with these guys - their service is second to none.

I have been here approximately 2 weeks and haven't seen it rain. Ridiculously nice out all the time. Usually sunny and in the upper 80's. And the tan you can get here in a couple hours costs me about $40 at home and it takes a few weeks in a tanning bed.
Well yesterday was the first day I have seen it rain since I have been here. So you would think that the rain would completely make everything miserable. NO NOT AT ALL! We still did the pool party we're talking MTV King & Queen of Spring Break contest, Slip and Slides, and the Best Belly Flop contest at then Port Lucaya Resort (right next to The Square & also has the biggest pool on the island). At Viva Wyndham (all inclusive resort) actually opened up the club on the property and did the booty shaking contest and gave away a FREE Spring Break with Studentcity.com for 2010.
We also did a huge FREE public concert in the The Sqaure that night. We brought down DJ Irie (the official Miami Heat DJ) and it was SOOOOO AWESOME! There were hundreds if not thousands people dancing, drinking and getting soaked there. We did a Mardi Gras bead contest where the winner won a FREE 2010 Spring Break with Studentcity.com. Kalik beer was there doing FREE giveaways as well. By the end of the night everyone was so soaked, drunk and had the best time.

Completely Ahh-Mazing! Just saying to start off b/c since first getting on the island it just keeps getting better and better. Personally being from the Midwest and having never been to the Bahamas this place is for (1) Beautiful, (2) Crazy fun, (3) Once in a lifetime experience. I have never traveled with Studentcity before this. I really wasn't sure of what to expect and so far it's blown any I may have had out of the water.
First night out on the island we go to "The Square". It's basically like Bourbon Street in New Orleans. There are so many awesome restaurants from Italian to Greek to ethnic island dishes. It's also the biggest bar district. You have some bars like Rum Runners with the 2 for $5 Coronas and $1 test tube shots (including Jager, Rums, Vodkas, Sex onthe Beaches, and lots more!). There lots of others just like that. And most of the time the bartenders if/when they get to know you hook you up big time with sweet extras like Corona, Sands (local beer), and Kalik (local beer) goodies.
In the middle of "The Square" there is also the DJ booth and stage where they do a bunch of outside concerts. And you can see all of this from the bar's outside patios. So who can honestly complain about a free concert in warm weather on the harbor at night.
Probably one of my favorite things so far in Freeport is the Bahama Mama Booze Cruise. Pretty much its UNLIMITED Bahama Mama Drinks and White Wine on this double decker boat that takes out out of the harbor and parks and parties in the ocean for a couple of hours. The staff on the boat makes sure you have a great time. They do shout outs, contests, whatever to make it a really fun night. They also take people out during the day snorkeling and then to a private beach for this five-star meal. You get to then chill do whatever until you head back. Then back on the boat for more UNLIMITED Bahama Mamas.

The day parties are always a fun time with great opportunity to get a little crazy. Drinking games like flip cup, beer pong, and relays make the day interesting. Nothing is funnier than watching the relays where a team of four competes to be the first ones to run up the beach, chug a beer and spin around a chair ten times before running (or at least trying) to make it back to tag there friend who then does the same. Ha! After drinking your FREE drinks all day, it’s time to shower up and head out for your free dinner which is part of the meal plan option. Free drinks are also offered at various bars between the time of the day party and the main event for the night.
StudentCity makes sure there is always some activity going on to keep your time in Mazatlan fun filled. The club scene is awesome too. Sambawa is definitely the coolest club in Mazatlan; it overlooks the ocean, has a pool, beds to hang out on, and is the host for the Mardi Gras themed party. Make sure to take advantage of the party package that StudentCity offers. There is only one big club event each night and it is where you want to be. You also end up saving around $50 by buying the package instead of paying the cover charge each night. Once your inside it’s free drinks all night long.

And if that wasn't enough, I got to hang out at the club with MTV Real World celebs Johnny Bananas, Kenny Santucci, and Evan Starkman. I took a picture of Johnny and Kenny with some StudentCity staff so I could brag to everybody back home.

I don't know why you'd go anywhere else for spring break. This place has it all. Spinnakers and Club La Vela are some of the biggest night clubs in the country and our StudentCity VIPs never have to wait in line. The place is HUUGE but with a week here, it's perfect because we just hit up a different spot every night.
I'm so glad I came down here. I'm definitely coming back!! PCB baby!!

The weather is hot and the party is jumping
I finally am getting on top of this blogging thing and I promise to keep it updated from here on out. It's been two weeks and a half weeks since I have been here and things have been crazy every single day and night. It has been 80 plus every day and sunny. I can't complain. Being from Boston I would have taken 50 and thought it was a scorcher. I have never been here before until now and I never realized what I was missing. From day 1, the people in the square were drinking at all the bars and dancing in the square. I have met so many amazing people in such a short time. I now know why everyone wanted to come to Freeport, Bahamas this year, it's the cheapest spring break options and you get a lot for your money. It's crazy to see the beaches and the pools during the day and as it turns to night the party continues in the square. After the party, it's the after party and at the Sheraton and Port Lucaya, the after party is the hot tub until the sun comes up. I will leave you with what I woke up to yesterday morning. I had a meeting at 10 and I am walking down the stairs and a kid is passed out on the grass with his pillow and comforter and the lawn keeper is mowing around him. At one point, his comforter fell off and he tucked him back in. It was hysterical. Life is good. Life is really good here and if you haven't been here, check it out ASAP. Until next time.Chirch

I decided to apply at Student City because I was unsure of what I want to do with my life. I was directly affected by the economic struggles right now; and instead of just taking a "real job" for the sole purpose of cash - I decided it was time to really do some soul searching and figure out a bit about myself and what I want to do.
What a good way to do some thinking than in Sunny Mexico? A friend of mine told me about the opportunity she had down here; so I decided to find SCC on Facebook and join the Hiring On Site Staff Group and visit Studentcity.com and fill out an On Site Staff Application. I did a few phone interviews and within a few weeks after the New Year I found out I'd be part of the staff!
I think every person should have the experience we each are having. We are the face of a company. Being such a huge asset to a company is something I've been looking for. I never want to be a "paper pusher" or one of those people who stare at the clock waiting to go home.
Each day I get to impact not only the company, but other people's traveling experience. It's an awesome feeling when you walk down the street in a staff shirt get recognized and praised because your an On Site Staffer. Studentcity.com and YOUR efforts - travelers are having the best week of their lives.

HOW DO I GET YOUR JOB!??!
There are so many different facets you can touch on about the experience as an On Site Staffer here in Cancun. There are amazing sites to see, things to do, people to talk to, concerts and parties to attend. I'll touch on all of them for sure! However, the number one question we get is "how did you get your job?"I decided to apply at Student City because I was unsure of what I want to do with my life.
